This 1910s classic double fronted Edwardian was renovated in the 1970s! The theme was salmon, peach, custard and orange! We could see the house had good bones and a good feel about it. What made the house more desirable is the street was small and full of similar houses. A street full of period homes, not far out of the CBD and close to a train station has GOLD running through it. The property was picked up over Christmas, having passed in at auction and sitting on the market through spring. The vendor’s expectations were unrealistic.
Having secured the property and extension was added with master bedroom, ensuite and walk in robe and entertaining area comprising chefs kitchen, dining and living. The main part of the house was renovated with new roof, cosmetic reno internally, bedroom converted to study, bathroom/laundry renovated too. Awning windows were replaced with the traditional windows from the period, cornice, skirts and architraves were all replaced sympathetically with the period.
The property was sold for more than double what is was picked up for.
